Droombos began in 2018. By September 2019, we opened our doors — welcoming our first guests into something that was, and still is, deeply personal.
Every renovation, every addition, carries a story. Inspired by places we’ve travelled, moments we’ve shared, and memories that have stayed with us over the years. You’ll find pieces of those experiences woven throughout the Estate in ways both subtle and intentional.
Droombos has never just been a business to us. It’s a reflection of who we are as a family — what we value, what we’ve experienced, and what we want to share with others. And that’s something we are committed to holding onto, as we continue to grow.

Rooted in an old-school approach, we choose thoughtful creation over convenience — in our people, our process, and our products. Much of our furniture and fittings are handcrafted in our own workshop, and we prioritise repurposing and sustainability in everything we do.

Across the estate, rammed-earth buildings stand as quiet statements of craftsmanship and sustainability. This ancient building method — used for thousands of years — creates spaces that are both beautiful and inherently natural. Structure that belongs to the land it stands on.

Quiet beauty.
At the heart of Droombos, the gardens are shaped by time and nature. Towering Camelthorn trees — two of them exceeding 500 years — stand as silent guardians, anchoring the estate with a sense of history and calm.
As the day draws to a close, the Namibian sky softens into gold, amber, and deep red over the Auas Mountains. The gardens take on a quiet, almost cinematic stillness — a moment best experienced slowly, and in person.
