How far is Droombos Estate from Windhoek city center?
Droombos Estate is located just outside Windhoek, approximately 15 minutes from the city center and 35 minutes from Hosea Kutako International Airport. We’re close enough for convenience yet far enough to offer a true escape into nature.
Do you offer wedding packages?
Yes, we offer comprehensive wedding packages that include venue hire, on-site coordination, catering from our Birdcage Restaurant, and access to our eight stunning ceremony locations. Each wedding is custom designed to your preferences, with options for intimate gatherings to celebrations of up to 400 guests.
What dining options are available?
We have two main dining venues: Birdcage Restaurant, offering farm-to-fork cuisine with panoramic garden views (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), and Rosewood Pub, featuring handcrafted interiors and a relaxed atmosphere (open daily 10:00-22:00). Both venues prioritize fresh, seasonal ingredients from our working gardens.
Can you accommodate corporate conferences and team building?
Absolutely. We have 16 distinctive venues accommodating 2-500 delegates, with full AV capabilities, on-site coordination, and accommodation options for multi-day conferences. We also offer curated team-building experiences including wine tastings, outdoor activities, and wellness sessions.
Is advance booking required for restaurants?
While walk-ins are welcome at both Birdcage Restaurant and Rosewood Pub, we highly recommend reservations, especially for dinner service and weekends. For special events, wine pairings, and group bookings, advance reservations are essential.
What accommodation types do you offer?
We offer four accommodation options: Droombos Suites (premier, spacious), The Farmhouse (5 rooms with shared lounge, perfect for groups), The Vineyard (boutique rooms with unique character), and Camping (10 sites with private facilities). All options provide access to our gardens, dining venues, and estate amenities.
